Project Manager - Plant Greenfield & Brownfield Expansion Projects - Manufacturing Firm

Position : Project Manager-Plant Greenfield & Brownfield Expansion Projects (Leading MNC Manufacturing Company)

Role :

- Plan, coordinate and/or supervision of all the activities for a new greenfield plant or brownfield expansion of plant in terms of construction, erection and commissioning

- Control of project schedule to meet deadlines

- Coordinate with engineers and architects and contractors to ensure that the project gets completed in a timely manner and within proposed budget

- Negotiate with architects, contractors and vendors

- Good understanding of measures like Return on Investment, etc. and good at making Project Proposals

- Troubleshooting and identifying issues and resolutions that may affect the time line or budget

- Budget follow-up and control

- Should have exposure to projects involving Blast Furnace and Furnace Operations

- Evaluate the construction methods

- Monitor the progress on site, including the reception and installation of equipment

- Identify differences and problems with designs

- Ensure work is being done according to the company's International standards and safety codes

- Develop and implement quality control programs

- Lead the meeting with contractors

- Coordinate with Operations in terms of handover, training and documentations

- Evaluate the factory acceptance tests for equipment

- Be part of Operational Team assisting in the identification, opportunity study and scope of future projects

Requirements:

- BE (Mechanical)

- 10-14 years' experience in Greenfield/ Brownfield Plant Construction, Erection and Maintenance involving Blast Furnaces, like in the Steel, Petrochem, and other industries which use Furnace operations

- Ideal candidate will be one who has earlier worked in Plant Maintenance and then moved to Project Management of expansion projects

- Excellent Project Management skills

- Good communication skills

- Good stakeholder management skills

- Excellent Computer Skills (MS Office, Project Management Software, ERP Systems)
