Designation: Project Manager Location: Aden, Yemen Department: Industrial Division Reports to: Director - Industrial Division About Company: A leading MNC Conglomerate (80 yrs old), specialises in manufacturing of FMCG products, wheat flour, sugar, cement and thermal power in Yemen. The Group also has big presence in trading, banking, hospitality, insurance sectors etc. Doing its manufacturing &amp; trading business in countries like Middle East, Asia, Europe and Africa. Summary: - Project Manager will be responsible for the Projects in FMCG, flour milling, cement, power plants etc. To execute and manage projects from concept to commissioning for the group companies. Key deliverables (Essential duties and responsibilities): The Project Manager will be responsible for Project / Machinery contracts, execution and project management till completion. Visiting and liaising with the consultants and suppliers. In order to achieve these deliverables major activities will include - Coordinate with the group companies to gather information about their annual Projects/ machinery requirements and specifications. - Prepare enquiry document and invite competitive offers from companies globally and evaluate offers based on their technological merits. - Visit Reference sites and prepare reports. - Project management incl. engineering, supplies by consultants/ suppliers and co-ordinate with project site ensuring timely delivery. Regular contact with the Project team. - Co-ordinate with Project Manager on site for project requirements and ensure timely delivery. - Develop new vendors. - Identifying project resource requirements. - Conflict resolution with Suppliers and Contractors and achieve favorable results. - Co-ordinate with the Logistics and Documentary teams and resolve commercial issues. - Coaching and mentoring of other engineers. - Visit Exhibitions as required. Skills &amp; attributes required: - 10 to 15 years of Project team leadership experience. - A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Industrial, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) from an accredited university. - Additional Qualifications in Project Management would be desirable. - Excellent communications skills - Contract Management skills. - Arabic language skills an added advantage. - Experience of Process, Conveying, Power Generation and Cement Industries would be an added advantage. - Project management experience.
