Project Manager - Infrastructure Development - Agroforestry)
Location: Meghalaya
Responsibilities:- Lead planning, design, and execution of agro-forestry, water, and land management projects, including erosion control, flood control, and land restoration.
- Coordinate with local communities and the team to scale a tree planting project in Meghalaya, India.
- Develop and optimize workflow processes, communication, and reporting across different teams.
- Interpret plans and specifications for contractors and provide on-site problem-solving support.
- Manage construction contracts and perform feasibility studies and site investigations.
- Assess and mitigate climate and operational risks, integrating best practices into project workflows.
- Provide technical support to the partners and advise on project design and feasibility.
- Foster positive relationships with stakeholders, including local communities, farmers, NGOs, and government agencies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations.
- Oversee project activities to ensure timely, budget-compliant, and high-quality delivery.
- Monitor project progress, conduct field visits, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate effectively using Organization's Workplace, JIRA, Confluence, and MRV App.
Requirements:- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, or related fields.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure projects or reforestation initiatives.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, HIVE, JIRA, or Confluence.
- Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets and Civil 3D software for designing roads and landscapes.
- Demonstrated ability to build templates, workflows, and systems from scratch.
- Strong teamwork and independent work capabilities with global teams.
- Valid driver's license and proficiency in driving.
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
- Deep knowledge of environmental regulations and impact assessment procedures.
