Project Planning &amp; Management - Handling project activities involving working out various requirements with respect to utilities, machines, manpower &amp; monitoring overall project operations for ensuring timely completion. - Ensure effective detailing and scoping of the works including time cost, stakeholder and risk issues - Review preliminary schedules and layouts - Ensure that the communication between the Project Engineers and the design office is effective - Participate in Pre-Project review meetings with contractors and provide required advice during Project. - If required by our contract, co-ordinate with the manager on the progress of the permit process and direct action to ensure project schedules are met - Developing financial projections, preparing budgets and performing extensive project costing. - Prepare monthly and phase reports on time, cost and HSSE for the Controls Managers and the Program Manager - Review and advise on the data for entry into reporting systems - Take detailed briefings from the Client internal stakeholders and manage stakeholder alignment - Managing resources to perform project activities in cost effective manner. - Dealing with consultants/ licensors/ statutory bodies for compliance of requirements. - Overview the site supervisors in reviewing site safety plans and HSSEs in accordance with client's safety objectives, review documented findings and implementation of recommendations for improvement - Assist the site supervisors in reviewing construction schedules, monitoring and reporting on the progress of work and audit the construction performance and quality achievements - Check contract security and insurances, and act as overall superintendent of the contracts including certifying payments, authorising extension of time and variations (under delegation), managing provision of design information to clarify documentation - Inspect sites with client's Co-ordinator and stakeholders and overview the completion of inspection checklist and rectification of defects - Overview the co-ordination of authority approvals, obtain - as built- drawings and essential services information and issue of certificates of practical completion. Authorise the hand-over of the site to client's Maintenance &amp; Repair - Conduct, Review and discuss Customer Satisfaction processes with the Manager and the client Commissioning/ Testing/ Quality - Handling commissioning, inspection tests of numerous plants &amp;equipments to ensure completion of projects within stipulated time/ cost parameters for determining the effectiveness of equipments / plants. - Providing technical inputs &amp; developing master specifications with needs assessment. - Implementing latest tools like TPM, TQM, and 5S and executing process enhancement projects. - Conducting Internal Audits and ensuring compliance to ISO 9000: 2000 &amp; ISO 14000 standards &amp; HSE Policies. Vendor Development/ Procurement - Identifying &amp; developing cost effective vendor/supplier base for cost effective procurement of materials, spares and consumables. - Preparing Annual Rate Contracts with vendors for shockable items and for work order indents and timely renewal of contracts after complete review. - Assessment of performance of the vendors based on various criterions such as quality improvement rate, timely delivery, credit terms etc. - Ensure that the Project Engineers and Procurement Co-ordinator are coordinating the procurement process - Overview the procurement of construction works and equipment in accordance with the procurement plans Contract Management - Preparing contract budgets &amp; ensuring that the cost budget is not exceeded. - Preparing &amp; floating of tenders to contractors, evaluation of offers, techno-commercial discussion &amp;finalisation of contract in view of project schedule. - Carrying out the settlement of techno-commercial disputes/ clarifications with clients during execution of project.
