Kotak Education Foundation (KEF) was set up in 2007 with a single-point focus to uplift the children and youth from underprivileged families through education, innovative healthcare and livelihood training programmes. It takes a holistic approach to help the urban poor break free from the vicious cycle of extreme poverty and generational disadvantages.

Excel offers scholarships to meritorious scholars from KEF partner schools at 3 levels. Plus a financial aid for COVID hit students There are more 1000 recipients of Excel scholarship, out of which 271 students have graduated and 200 of them earn an annual remuneration of over 3 lakhs.

Reason for the hire :

Kotak Education Foundation is currently in the growth stage. EXCEL, their scholarship project has grown and will continue to grow substantially. The number of beneficiaries would increase exponentially and therefore to lead this initiative, Kotak is looking for a Project Head. The incumbent would be leading the in-house team and shall be responsible for strategically planning and implementing the scholarship project henceforth along with the senior leadership at KEF.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Project Management with domain knowledge on scholarship space, nationally and internationally.

- Planning, Monitoring and communication of the Project execution

- Financial management

- External Collaborations

- Team Development and supervision

Must Haves :

- The incumbent should come with over 15 years of experience in designing, executing, leading Higher Education programs out of which 5 years must be in scholarship projects in CSR, Life skill training, placement or technology platforms.

- The incumbent should have demonstrated strategic thinking in the current or previous organization. He/she should be an effective communicator, relationship builder and a strong leader.

- The incumbent must be a self-starter who enjoys a dynamic and emergent work environment. They must have the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

- They should be well-versed with Microsoft Office software such as - Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point, data tools.

- They must have the ability to anticipate and solve problems and have strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor
