1)Job Summary

Position: Project Director

Industry: Construction & Technology (#Data Center/Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Project Scope: Oversee the construction of a 48-megawatt data center or a large-scale semiconductor factory, including clean room facilities and typical functions of semiconductor manufacturing.

Job Duration: 16-32 months (Data Center), 48 mnths (Semiconductor Factory)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- The Project Director will be responsible for providing strategic direction, leadership, and management oversight throughout all phases of the construction project. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Project Planning and Execution:

- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with stakeholder objectives and project specifications.

- Oversee the entire construction process from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Team Leadership and Management:

- Build and lead a multidisciplinary team, including architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors.

- Delegate tasks, set clear objectives, and provide guidance to ensure effective collaboration and productivity among team members.

Resource Management:

- Manage project resources, including budget, materials, equipment, and manpower allocation.

- Identify and mitigate potential risks, implementing contingency plans as needed to ensure project success.

Stakeholder Communication:

- Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations.

- Foster positive relationships with clients, regulatory authorities, and other external parties involved in the project.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Implement quality control measures to uphold industry standards and compliance with relevant regulations.

- Conduct regular inspections and evaluations to ensure adherence to safety protocols and project specifications.

Problem Solving and Decision Making:

- Proactively identify challenges and obstacles, proposing viable solutions and making informed decisions to keep the project on track.

Documentation and Reporting:

- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, financial records, and contractual agreements.

- Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders as required.

2) Complete Set of Roles & Responsibilities for Project Director:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

- Develop project strategies aligned with organizational goals.

- Provide strong leadership to project teams, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Project Initiation and Planning:

- Conduct feasibility studies and assess project requirements.

- Create comprehensive project plans, defining scope, objectives, and deliverables.

Resource Allocation and Management:

- Manage project budget, allocate resources effectively, and monitor expenditures.

- Procure materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.

Team Building and Management:

- Recruit, train, and supervise project staff.

- Delegate tasks and responsibilities, ensuring clear communication and accountability.

Risk Management and Problem Resolution:

- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

- Address issues promptly to minimize disruptions to project timelines.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

- Liaise with stakeholders to understand expectations and maintain positive relationships.

- Communicate project progress, updates, and issues effectively to all involved parties.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

- Implement quality control measures to meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and legal obligations.

Monitoring and Reporting:

- Monitor project progress against established objectives and timelines.

- Prepare regular reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.

Contract and Vendor Management:

- Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and subcontractors.

- Oversee vendor performance and manage contractual obligations.

Continuous Improvement:

- Evaluate project performance and implement process improvements.

- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned for future enhancements.

3 Data Center

Data Center Infrastructure Understanding:

- Knowledge of data center infrastructure requirements, including power distribution, cooling systems, networking, and security protocols.

- Understanding of specialized components like UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning), etc.

Regulatory Compliance and Standards:

- Awareness of building codes, industry regulations, and compliance standards related to data center construction.

- Experience in ensuring adherence to safety regulations and environmental standards.

Technology Integration and Innovation:

- Familiarity with emerging technologies in data center construction, such as modular design, energy efficiency solutions, and automation.

- Capability to integrate innovative solutions for improved performance and sustainability. Semi Conductor

Semiconductor Manufacturing Processes:

- In-depth understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, including wafer fabrication, cleanroom protocols, photolithography, etching, and packaging.

- Knowledge of industry-specific tools, equipment, and machinery used in semiconductor production.

Cleanroom Design and Operations:

- Familiarity with cleanroom specifications, design principles, and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) systems required for maintaining controlled environments.

- Expertise in managing cleanroom protocols and ensuring adherence to strict cleanliness standards.

Regulatory Compliance and Standards:

- Knowledge of semiconductor industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance requirements.

- Experience in obtaining permits and ensuring adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.

Advanced Technology Integration:

- Understanding of emerging technologies and innovations in semiconductor manufacturing, such as advanced materials, automation, and Industry 4.0 concepts.

- Ability to integrate cutting-edge technologies for improved efficiency and production quality.

Education Background - Preferably Mechnical & Electrical/Electronic engineering back ground
