We are looking to hire a Business Development/Investor Relations Director/Manager for an offshore India focused Fund to sell to institutional clients globally and locally.
The relevant person would have at least 2-10 years of direct experience in Fund management/asset management/Wealth management house or in Institutional equity sales role and ideally a demonstrable track record in raising capital for funds.
- We are dealing exclusively with global institutions and family offices and UHNWI.
Key responsibilities and requirements of the mandate include :
- Acquiring and managing Institutional/Family offices Clients globally for Indian listed equities product
- Various marketing/database updates on the monthly basis
- Generating and executing on leads for marketing the fund and helping partners in all aspects of marketing/pitching the fund
- Maintaining regular communications with investors and preparation of investor-related documentation.
Role could be enhanced for suitable candidates into a COO type role if the candidate also:
- Has strong understanding of fund accounting and operations from compliance/regulatory/operations/tax point of view
- Is willing to liaise and maintain strong relationships with service providers like administrators/custodians and regulators.
The candidate -
- Should have excellent communication skills and knowledge of Indian Capital Markets and how they stack up against the broader emerging market universe
- Should have a demonstrable track record of capital raising in previous mandates locally/globally
- Should have an existing rolodex of relevant previously serviced global clients and single family offices and ability to get key meetings and close leads.
- Should be able to do digital marketing and build a relationship with media groups
- Should be self motivated and be able to detail out and implement a complete business plan for capital raising.
Compensation will be commensurate with relevant experience and include a significant variable component for the right candidate.
