Program Manager - Retail Applications

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position reports to the GM-IT (Applications).

- He will be responsible for overall Retail Applications. He will be working closely with Operations Team and Business Team to ensure smooth operation and identify new projects. He will be responsible for Project implementation and its success. Responsibilities include submitting Project planning, requirement gathering and establishing effective project communication plans as well as the proper execution of said plans.

- Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.

- Preparing status reports by gathering, analyzing, and summarizing relevant information.

- Establishing effective communication channel with stakeholders.

- Coordinating the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.

- Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables.

- Managing customer satisfaction within the project transition period.

- Conducting post-project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements.

- Basic understanding of network architecture and firewall

- Manage vendor relationships

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science / Information Technology.

PREFERRED COMPETENCIES & SKILLS

- Good techno functional understanding of retail domain

- Exposure to integration of POS with ERP (preferably MS-POS, D365 Commerce)

- Experience in managing support and partner teams

- Knowledge of SDLC, project management

- Troubleshooting and application support experience is a must

- Hands-on experience on different databases like MS SQL Server, etc. is a must

- Knowledge of integration mechanism to share data between different databases is required.

- Working knowledge of application Servers.

- Good analytical skills

- Hands-on experience to multiple operating systems like Windows, Linux etc. is required

- Prior experience in working as a team lead.

- Excellent interpersonal skills to conduct business reviews and coordination on sustenance aspects.

- Strong understanding of formal project management methodologies.

- Able to get projects complete and also evaluate success of projects post implementation.

- Understanding of Retail/E-Commerce applications and its implementation.

- Budget management experience.

- Review Support system and identify areas of improvements.

- Analyze, solve, and correct issues by active involvement in real time troubleshooting of production issues

- Plan and drive build/patch deployment and new store roll out
