Job Summary
Program Manager is responsible for managing large programs or multiple simultaneous large projects end to end from proposal to steady state operations. Program Manager should be aware of the objectives, benefits and success factors of the program / projects and drive the team towards achieving them. Program Manager should plan, budget, drive execution and report on multiple programs / projects. Program Manager is also responsible to resolve interdependencies and conflicting priorities.
Client Responsibilities:
Analyze and manage stakeholder expectations at all levels including senior leaders
Perform Pre-Sales and Consulting functions on IT solutions and services
Respond to RFPs and client queries with short turnaround
Develop high quality PM, technical, strategic presentations and documentations
Plan and drive workshops involving executive, managerial and technical personnel
Ensure that the projects adhere to the defined processes for project management
People/Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:
Accountable for managing the project managers and project teams
Promote team work, motivate, mentor and develop subordinates
Skills Requirements
12 – 18 years of experience in the IT Industry
Should be a technical project manager with strong base in .net and experience in managing SharePoint projects.
Should have at least 3 years of experience in Program Management of which at least 2 are in turn-key programs in at least one of the following areas
Software Development & Implementation
Product Deployment and Management, such as BPM/ERP/Workflow solutions
Systems Integration
Should have at least 7 years of experience in Project Management
Excellent understanding of IT infrastructure needs of software projects, with exposure to procurement
Worked on global projects with team members spread across more than two countries – preferably in different time-zones.
Excellent Client Relationship and Client expectation management skills
Extensive experience in on-site client-facing roles - preferably in US/UK/Europe/ Australia
Led technology consulting and pre-sales assignments at the above client locations – preferably to Executive Management
Led teams in building proposals in response to RFPs in a technical and managerial capacity
Done extensive high quality documentation and presentations
Preferably planned and driven client workshops on their key/strategic initiatives
Exposure to multi-location projects under large programs
Should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Skilled in using MS Project, MS SharePoint, MS Visio and all MS Office Suite products
Must have a very good eye for detail and be quality driven
Should have extensive experience in People Management with experience in counseling and mentoring
Program Managers and Project Managers
Should have good understanding of project finance – including rate cards, costing, billing, invoice tracking, GPM tracking
Open to working in time – zones over-lapping with the customers
Should have PMP and /or Prince 2 certification
Preferably ITIL certified
