Production Plant Head - Wood Working

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Plant Head to lead our wooden manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, including production, quality control, safety, and personnel management. The Plant Head will play a key role in driving efficiency, optimizing production processes, and ensuring the highest standards of quality while fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership and strategic direction to the wooden manufacturing plant, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

- Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, inventory management, and quality control.

- Develop and implement efficient production processes to maximize output while minimizing costs and waste.

- Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency.

1. To understand the project, analyze its criticalities & importance and share the knowledge with the teams, namely, planning, procurement, stores,quality,production (wood + metal + paint), assembly, packing dispatch & maintenance

2. To work out a macro plan, project schedule and identify the important milestones in the project along with the team.

3. To coordinate and work out micro plans including but not limited to scope document, ppdm, proposal drawings, technical drawings, schedules, procurement plan, bom, production plan, assembly schedule, dispatch plan etc. And any other as may be required with the help of the team.

4. To co ordinate & monitor the project plan and ensure proper co-ordination follow up & follow through on the plan such that all activities are happening as per project plan.

5. To address and. Resolve and problems on the way and take corrective actions on the deviations that may occur vis-a vis the project plan.

6. To conduct periodic project meetings with all teams to ensure that their concerns are resolved and the team members are guided the project progress is smooth.

7. To ensure that adequate, optimum resources are ( man, material, machine) areavailable at the disposal of the team to achieve desired targets.

8. To ensure that all the activities are process driven and part of overall system setup and there are no deviations in this regard.

9. To ensure that the procurement process is fast , transparent, adequate vendor base is available and the vendors support with timely delivery at the best market rates.

10. To ensure all quality objectives are met consistently at all levels and stations.

11. To ensure production targets are consistantly met through optimum resources management and guidance.

13. To ensure that best industry practices are adopted for packaging, handling of the material, branding and dispatch of the material.

14. To adopt an approach of preventive maintainance for all tools and machinery and ancillary support system to avoid any breakdowns and loss of man hours on projects. Also to proactively plan for regular maintainance & upkeep.

15. To ensure that the entire setup is professionally driven and adopts best industry practices like 5s and others to ensure that storage, stacking, movement of material and goods is structured and the housekeeping standards are of international level with a focus on continuous improvement at all stages & levels.

16. To ensure ultimate customer satisfaction by achieving all project deliverables of time, cost and quality. To also ensure that project is completed in budgeted cost and the expected profitability is achieved for the company

17. To handle critical administrative issues in consultation with the management involving external contacts like, electicals, dg, etc. Which may have a bearing on the operations of the factory.

18. To identify the training needs of manpower and in co-ordination with hr ensure that appropriate training programs are conducted from time to time.

19. To develop new products, process and resources & contacts ensure that the company always strives for innovation and has an edge over its competitors.

20. To co ordinate & ensure all the modular installations on site shall happen as per scheduled time, estimated cost and good quality. The installation shall be protected at site in co-ordination with factory team

21. To co ordinate & ensure handover of all keys and complete handover documentation to be done by factory team with the client

22. To co ordinate & ensure healthy competitive & co-operative atmosphere is maintained within the teams at all times throughout the year.
