Title: Production Manager with a Fortune 1000, Global Food Company Location: Sonepat (Haryana) Reporting to: Factory Manager (12-15 yrs of exp with strong competency in Ready To Eat/ Retorted Products Production like Indian Curries etc.) - Overall responsibility for the production, in line with the plant performance parameters and for aligning the production staff to short term and long terms objectives. - Continually improves the performance to benchmark levels and heads improvement drives. - Ensuring compliance with prescribed quality standards. Plant Production - Lead plant production personnel in day to day activities to ensure the quality goods are produced and delivered as per the plan. - Coordinate with Planning team to finalize Production Plan in alignment with Demand - Responsible for ensuring that the product being manufactured meets the company's Quality standards, policies and practices. - Proceed to productivity improvement by setting relevant action plan - Prepare management reporting as required. - To prepare the action plan to keep the cost under control and as per target. - To have an active role in the companies continuous improvement plan to achieve plans for Future growth within the company. People Management - Reviews job's responsibilities of the production staff and identify and/or check required qualification and competencies to perform the job in accordance with the position requirement. - Ensures that all staff subordinates are suitably trained/qualified/licensed for the various tasks and jobs they must complete. Others - Ensure SAP Governance for Production related activities - Coordinate with all relevant stakeholders/ other departments to ensure uninterrupted Production in adherence with the plan KPIs - Total Production Volume vs Plan - Process Reliability - Productivity - Yield/ Variance for Raw Material/ Packing Material - Cost of Production/ Conversion Cost - Safety KPI (TIR) - Customer Complaints KEY REQUIREMENTS - Excellent planning and execution skills - Strong understanding of Food Processing Industry - Detailed Knowledge of all kinds of Packing operations- Pouch/ Sachets/ Bottles etc. - Exposure to continuous Improvement tools like 5S, Kaizens, JTE/ Lean Sigma/ Six Sigma etc. - A team leader, who provides guidance, instruction, direction to the team - Strong - hands-on- people management, team building, leadership and coaching skills - Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders - Solution driven mindset with ability to influence others. PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES - Good interpersonal and communication skills; - Good Analytical skills; - Good verbal and written communication and reporting skills - Self-motivator, flexible and able to work at pace - Work with positive spirit and discipline always, Team builder /player and collaborator. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE - Engineering in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Food Technology.
