We are looking for a Product & Research professional for investments products with a leading financial services

Location : Mumbai

Qualification : MBA / CFA

Total experience : 8-10 yrs relevant experience.

Industry : Financial services / NBFC

Job Responsibilities :

Mutual Fund Ranking :

- Ensure rating is diligently done every quarter; review the model on an ongoing basis

MF data base software :

- Ensure the database tool serves the need of the team; resolve issues with data, outputs, etc; Interaction with vendor to develop tool based on requirements. Review/ Implement new software wherever required

Research on Debt MFs :

- Understand the fixed income market and come up with views on various category of debt funds

- Interact with AMCs to get views from various debt fund managers

- Ensure awareness of the positioning of debt products of prominent AMCs on an ongoing basis

- Maintain a reco. list with details of investment essentials

Research on Equity MFs :

- Ensure periodic interaction with equity fund managers to get their views on the market as well as the positioning on various funds managed by them

- Get detailed investment mandate and strategy to differentiate funds intra AMC as well as inter AMC to come up with a core list of recommended funds

- Recommend entry and exit calls of funds based on the ongoing research .

IPC, Newsletter and macro research :

- Preparation of quarterly IPC presentation, notes, minutes, communication to team.

- Quarterly newsletter content development, Liaising with marketing for designing, monthly market outlook presentation

Product Communications :

- Developing templates and Event update coverages, monthly economic data release, recommendation notes, identifying investment themes and communicating to team (as and when basis)

Portfolio building and advisory :

- Develop scientific portfolio building model, align with existing model portfolios, review model portfolio periodically, strive to improve the house level portfolio quality.

- Draft advisory proposals for client. Study portfolios of top existing clients on an ongoing basis and recommend changes as and when warranted.

Skills Required :

Product knowledge : Complete understanding and command over all investment products

Total experience : 8-10 yrs relevant experience.
