Position- Product Manager

Experience: 4-8 years

Industry: Pharmaceuticals/API/Medical Devices/Specialty Chemicals/Packaging

Qualifications: B. Pharma/ M.Sc- Microbiology/B.E Chemical, Biomedical, Mechanical with MBA in Marketing

Job Location: Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

1) Attend seminars, conferences, customer / product launch, liaison with internal and external stake holders.

2) Closely work with internal and external stake holders including Sales, Customers, Operations, R&D, Finance etc.

3) Facilitate & develop Sales team members.

4) Gathers inputs and conducts extensive research to assess feasibility of investing in launching a new product. Collects the basic data - customer details, purpose of the product, basic specifications, business potential, customer expectations & commitment.

5) Analyses and interprets customer feedback data as well as results from ongoing tests in order to identify product features with scope of improvement.

6) Checks viability & fitment of all new product ideas at high level from key perspectives and filter ones that require detailed assessment on priority

7) Engages in continuous research and keeps abreast with market trends in order to define areas of continuous improvement and shares the ideas with the larger team for brainstorming. Active field work across target markets along with Sales/R&D team

8) Ideate / Innovate to enlarge the market size

9) Works closely with Cross Functional Team (Operations, R&D, Quality & Regulatory Affairs, and Sales etc.) for screening and filtration of the new idea.

10) For the shortlisted and prioritized NPO idea, conducts a detailed scoping considering the specifications required, potential market size and prepares an estimated business case and ROI for obtaining the management approval. Works closely with Sales team to prepare the business case for each product

11) Manage the project during the pre-launch phase to - Tech Transfer Team and Marketing Team. Tech Transfer team to attain commercial production readiness and market seeding for final validation of product before the launch. Works closely with marketing team to prepare for the launch and devise promotional plan including the budget and the timelines

12) Interacts with the users on an on-going basis to address technical queries as well as solicits feedback on improvement areas on existing products.

13) Works actively and partners with sales team to launch the new product in the market and generates the initial leads. Provides technical inputs to the customers with respect to the new product. New products are then handed over to the sales team on reaching critical volumes.

14) Pricing Strategy for product

15) Takes decisions on everyday matters that impact the different stages of new product development across multiple projects along with relevant tests/experiments, leading cross-functional teams and seeking guidance and inputs in key issues

Note: Candidate should be working in a Managerial level and should be willing to travel globally.
