Job Description :
- Assist with the introduction of new products, both novel products and competitor products, starting from market research and beyond commercialization
- Help drive New Product Introduction (NPI) product line profitability and revenue growth through tactical & strategic initiatives Gather voice of customer (VOC) data for NPI introductions
- Focus on increased web presence for NPI introductions Partner closely with Sales Management to develop & drive NPI growth initiatives
- Developing strong relationships with operations team and other members of the product management team as well as other product leaders
- Identify growth areas, segments and application requirements and develop product and applications knowledge around them.
- The responsibility includes, providing pre sales support, Product presentation & demonstration conducting technical seminars & in house technical presentations, providing s product & application knowledge to customers.
- The responsibility also includes developing strategies for segment specific approach, product positioning & application specific demand generation activities.
- Use market & product knowledge to assist sales team in developing, sales, & customer account sales strategies.
- Improve customer satisfaction & retention through process trouble shooting & continuing education on optimization of customer processes.
- Produce competitive product market report and provide regular feedback on customer satisfaction &needs to internal stakeholders.
- Develop & maintain business relationship with key accounts in the respective regions through personal contacts & periodic communications.
- The Product Specialist will be responsible for achieving the Annual Operating Plan & sales targets for the respective product lines as set by management.
The Successful Candidate :
- Essentially Doctorate /Post experience in Product support function with hand on experience in application & technical support
- PhD degree in technical discipline or equivalent.
- 10+ yrs of experience in handling Chromatography Instruments
- Managerial skills is a plus
- Strong relationship building abilities both with internal and external customers -
- Ability to prioritize & manage multiple projects - Enthusiasm, drive, initiative and a can-do attitude is a prerequisite -
- Ability to demonstrate expert specialty, program/project mgmt., presentation, technical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to make an impressive presentation, self-confident with high degree of self-restrain, ability to take decisions in demanding situation & self-motivations will be essential qualities
- The position involves extensive travelling upto 60%
