Our client is a technology company focused on building world-class solutions in the verdant communications and convergence space. Our client began by building telecom VAS infrastructure products, and has provided solutions for mobile service providers across the world, enabling their messaging services, location services, data services and other mobile data applications. Our client has been known since the early days for its innovative products, as well as product quality and customer support.

Our client is venture funded, and competes well with the best known global names in the space. Now our client is looking to expand their business in related and white spaces, while simultaneously retaining pole position and core strengths in communication technologies.

Position : Product Manager

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Looking for a subject Matter Enthusiast keen to learn new technology, platform to ensuring development of global solutions and optimizing the reuse of existing platforms/technology as well as already developed solutions and functions within the communication technology product portfolio.

- Capable of doing market research and competitive landscape study to define new product/feature/functionality value proposition and effectively convert them to engineering specification by authoring documents such as MRDs, PRDs, Product Notes etc.

- Self-starter who can take ownership and be accountable for the product throughout product lifecycle.

The Product Manager is responsible for the following activities related to the design of assigned solutions and products:

- Architecture and design decisions for assigned solutions, products and services in the ICT portfolio. Ensuring architectural optimization, alignment and standardization of products and solutions and/or technology and/or platform, considering ICT Strategy, Enterprise Architecture.

- Prepare supporting documentation, e.g. feature descriptions, Software Requirement Documents. High level Design documents.

- Analyze and enrich key demands, ensure impact analysis and refine requirements and high-level design

- Ensure that the solution meets usability-, functional- and non-functional requirements and information quality requirements

- Approve design specifications

- Provide product and solution advice and guidance in relevant meetings and activities

- Contribute to the creation and maintenance of product, solution and service related documentation

- Post product development Product manager will define Product Road Map and Strategy initiatives coordinating with product / solution / technology/ platform expertise.

- Proactively taking customer feedback and converting into product Road map features.

Desired Candidate Profile :

- 8 - 10 years of experience as Product Manager for a technology company, preferably within the communication/ collaboration domain.

- BE in the technology domain.

- Should be from a product company.

- Good exposure to communication technology stacks.

- Hands on in developing product/application using communication stacks are added advantage.

- Excellent oral and written communication skills, client-facing experience.

- Experience in building critical and/or complex products is preferable

- Technical experience in software product companies or Product engineering Services (PES) with specific focus on Cloud and Communication Technology Products is preferable

- A Technology evangelist who is active contributor in technology forums.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate thoughts and offerings in written, verbal or visual manner, and advanced proficiency with making Power Point Presentations.

Mandatory Skills :

- Candidate should be from Software Product Company (Start-up or well known company)

- Candidate should have owned product development (complete lifecycle)

- B E/B Tech and/or MBA from premier institute.

- Candidate should be a contributing member in technology forums / open source

- Candidate need to show interest in Exposure to new technologies/domains

- Exposure to Product Management Frameworks and tools is highly desirable
