Product Manager : - You are a technical person who respects engineering and understands (and perhaps secretly wish to be as good at) programming (as engineers are). At the same time, you understand that building a great product that nobody wants is a massive waste of time and hence you are needed to build the right kind of products. You understand the importance of a good design and have a good aesthetic sense. - In short, you know what product the market needs and you're able to sell your vision to the engineering team and work closely with them to build and ship it. Responsibilities : - Work closely with customers and internal teams (marketing/sales/support) to develop and own the product roadmap. - Own the product vision by both executing it and expanding it by giving your inputs. - Break down the product roadmap into rapidly shippable components (every 2-4 weeks). - Work with cross-functional teams, not limiting to engineering, design and QA, to build and ship the product on time and in budget. - Perform competitive analysis in determining and prioritizing feature requirements and product strategy for existing and new products. - Wear a marketer hat and communicate product capabilities and plans to internal and external audiences through documents, individual conversations, presentations, and webinars. Required Skills : - 3-7 years of experience in product management of web software products - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Good design and technical acumen - Internal and external (customer-facing) presentation and training skills - Demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse stake holders - Problem solving ability and analytical business skills
