Product Manager

Job Purpose

To Manage Product Life Cycle of designated Assessment product lines of the company

Job Responsibilities

- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities

- Specifying market requirements for current and future products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers.

- Writing detailed product requirement document

- Creating business case after analysis of target markets, with support from sales

- Driving a solution set across development , marketing & Operations teams through market requirements, product contract, and positioning.

- Developing and implementing a company-wide go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute the plan

- Analyzing potential partner relationships for the product

- Training sales teams & monitoring sales efforts

- Provide needed inputs to sales teams to overcome adoption obstacles.

Interfaces

- Sales & customers to understand needs, obtain product feedback & drive sales

- With engineering to align technology structures

- With operations to ensure smooth functioning & deployment of the product

- With technical partners to ensure timely completion of product development/modification with a high focus on quality

- With Marketing to position the product in the most effective manner

Job Specification :-

Experience and Qualification:

- Minimum experience of 5 years ( preferably 2 years in product management)

- Experience or exposure to hardware based solutions in wireless/Bluetooth/embedded is an added advantage

- Should have worked in a client facing environment for at least 2 years

- MBA from reputed B-school

- Exposure to sales will be preferred

Skills and Knowledge:

- Demonstrable conceptualization skills

- Understanding of Market Research & product positioning

Competencies

- Should have very strong Analytical & Reasoning Ability

- Ability to think through from conceptualization to commercialization of products
