The Role
You will play a cross-functional role, designing effective learning solutions that tightly align with market requirements, and drive enhanced customer and user value. You will report into the CPO, and will have 2 or 3 direct reports.
Key responsibilities include -
Product Management
- Manage delivery of product roadmap and lifecycle, driven by customer insights.
- Validate and improve the product roadmap, ensuring solutions align with driving most significant value to current and future customers.
- Identify, analyse and document user, customer and stakeholder needs, feedback and value drivers, using learnings to drive development decisions.
- Act as product owner, prioritizing the product backlog, and holding teams accountable to schedule, budget, and vision.
- Translate high level solutions, into detailed user stories, that clearly articulate the need for new features.
- Lead the educational and non-technical feature design process, ensuring effective learning outcomes and enhancement of customer and user value.
- Create and test prototypes and proofs of concept, to ensure validity of solution designs.
- Drive a get-out-of-the-building culture, to experiment, test and learn.
- Develop the requirements documents and analysis, testing plans and process flows and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate feature performance, to provide a clear understanding of effectiveness.
- Advocate the removal of products and features, that do not deliver sufficient value.
- Create strong development processes and procedures to drive high productivity in development team.
Content and Learning Management
- Manage the content development team, nurturing a high-performance team.

- Oversee the content development process, ensuring high quality of deliverables.
- Identify and secure 3rd party licenses to grow the content asset bank, and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers.
- Set up and maintain a content management system, to enable curriculum roll out to new geographies in less than 6 months.
- Develop standards and best practices for creation, management, maintenance, and governance of content.
- Evaluate and improve the efficacy of the 40K learning products, in India and Cambodia using data insights and user observations.
- Collaborate with the PLUS Program Manager, to drive improvement across all parts of the PLUS system.
- Act as the in-house expert on EFL pedagogy, ensuring the 40K products follow best practice EFL and educational pedagogy.
Business and Strategy
Work with the Chief Product Officer to:
- Create business models to forecast product development costs and revenue, and estimate profitability metrics.
- Determine priorities for product development across all program elements most in line with organisation strategy and customer-driven value.
- Create and present business cases and associated reports to acquire funding.
- Conduct market research, to identify product opportunities and threats., using the insights to enhance customer value.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 to 8 years experience in Education product management.
- Background in English as a Foreign Language strongly preferred.
- Experience with agile methodologies, and collaborating with both content and engineering teams.
- Strong research, data and analytical skills, with a flair for generating deep customer and user insights.
- Very strong ability to document and communicate clearly to different stakeholders.
- Process and detail orientated, with an ability to build and maintain strong systems.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen, with a track record of taking profitable products to market.
- Innovation by restriction mindset that thrives on the challenge of building solutions for restricted environments.
- Very organized, sequential, planned and detailed in approach to work.
