Product Manager - Content Platform - Internet/Online

Job Title: Product Manager, Content Platform (Mumbai Location)

Role :

As a business centered on content, XYZ.com views the management of content assets as a key strategic area for the company. This leadership role involves ownership of the content platform and related tools at XYZ.com across all of its products - XYZ (apps and web), Mass Market video sites (in partnership with mobile carriers), and XYZ.com.

- Based on business objectives, the content platform product manager will drive the product strategy, definition and evolution of the content platform, including in-house and external technologies and services.

- The product manager's primary goal is to build and evolve the next generation content platform and tools in alignment with the company's long term vision, business goals, consumer needs, and internal user needs.

Key Responsibilities :

- Drive the overall ideation and strategy for business insights driven content management systems and tools

- Evolve the content platform to be a strategic tool for consumer engagement and product differentiation

- Address hygiene factors including automation of content on-boarding; processing and programming; ensure process-driven content lifecycle management

- Be a thought-leader on the future of content operations; be adept with new technologies competitors and general technology trends, and in close touch with internal user and consumer needs in multiple markets, while developing one's own perspectives that can be integrated into our products

- Strong cross functional team leader to drive thought leadership across product verticals to articulate business requirements, drive product specifications, establish milestones, and manage the development, implementation and performance goals.

- Work with tech leads to drive an agile development process, including mock-ups,requirements and scrum meetings.

Sills & Competencies :

- BA/BS degree required, MBA or equivalent experience desirable.

- 6 to 12 years professional experience in technology or internet technology and/or product management on a mix of consumer products and internal tools, including positions of leadership with a demonstrated ability to drive results.

- Experience in the content tools and management space highly desirable, particularly with a content company.

- Analytical, data driven decision-maker. Experience with both web and mobile analytics platforms, including strong analytical ability to derive actionable insights from large datasets.

- Someone who can inspire others toward a big vision, while keeping track of the details.

- Flexible, strong leader that can work well in a cross-functional capacity within a dynamic, rapidly changing environment.

- Outstanding communicator - both oral and written.
