Product Head - Online/Internet

- The role of the person is to define and evolve products in the Product Portfolio to make them world-class by making them competitive by differentiating them from other products in the target market.

- The person will be responsible for performing industry and market analysis, competitive analysis, win-loss analysis and defining product and pricing strategy .

- The person should be familiar with the web-based Service Oriented Architecture and basic big-data analytics to be able to communicate with Engineering and QA in their language.

Duties and responsibilities :

- Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities.

- Contributing to the industry analysis (researching customer needs for a particular industry), and features to be built to satisfy those needs.

- Creating unique value proposition to help the Marketing Team position the product and creating requirement specifications to communicate to the Engineering Team.

- Specifying market requirements for current products by conducting market research supported by on-going visits to customers and non-customers, competitive analysis and interacting with the Sales Team to obtain their feed-backs or Win-Loss Analysis.

- Assisting the Product Manager to build road-maps, use case scenarios, user personas, and other artifacts to support development and delivery of the product that meets target user needs.

- Driving a solution set across development teams (primarily Development/Engineering) ensuring that the requirements are developed as per specifications and delivered on time with quality.

- Driving Release management process to ensure that interactions between Engineering and QA Team are streamlined and client deliverables are released with Product Manuals.

- Working with User Experience team to come up with highly usable and aesthetic UI mock ups.

- Perform System-Provider UAT to ensure that product is created from usability point of view.

- Developing and managing relevant product documentation such as MRDs, PRDs and User Guides.

Working conditions :

- The job location would be Mumbai and may involve frequent travel to Gandhinagar for discussions with the Technical team.

Education : B Tech/ BE or Equivalent Qualification

Specialized Knowledge :

- Past experience in a Product Management or a Senior Business Analyst Role preferably in a Web-based Product Development or a SaaS Product Company. Customer Interaction is a Must (preferably US/EU Clients). Familiarity with Embedded Concepts would be nice to have.

- Previous experience working in Agile Environment would be an advantage. Strong interest or experience in BI and Analytics.

- Basic Knowledge of SDLC (Agile) and Release Management Process with ability to drive Project Planning.

- Strong Technical Documentation skills.

- Minimum 3 years experience of in customer-focused business analysis or Product Management position in a Web-based Product Company.
