Product Expert/Senior Manager - R&D - Construction Chemicals Business

ROLE :

He/ she is responsible to lead new product development, improvement of existing products and development of formulations as per market requirements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES :

- New product development

- Existing product improvement

- Vendor evaluation/Vendor visits

- Development of formulations as per market requirement

- Training to cross functional teams/site people

- Market study: About existing product improvement and new developments in market.

- Bench marking of Competitor products.

Behavioral Skills:

1) Communication :

Ability to freely discuss the information with the stakeholders in a positive way, and open to feedback or criticism.

2) Customer Orientation :

Should be customer-sensitive, take timely feedback from them and address their complaints immediately.

3) Planning & Execution :

Breaking the assignment into major milestones, and assigning timelines for each one, considering Risk factors in the planning process.

4) Analytical Skills :

Ability to identify the relationship between events that are not obviously linked to each other and take corrective & preventive actions.

Functional Skills :

1. Good knowledge about Construction chemicals like LWL, SBR, ACRYLIC, PU based waterproofing compounds, repairing chemicals, crack repair pastes and about Stone caring products. And, On Tile adhesives and Grouts

2. Recipe design/Formulations

3. Application knowledge

4. Economical formulation knowledge

5. Trouble shooting

6. Market Knowledge in above mentioned areas.

7. Should able to develop all the test facilities related to CC and should have knowledge in development of lab.
