Product Development Manager - IT

Qualification : Engineering background (must)/MBA

Experience (Approx. in Yrs.) 12+ years

Relevant Experience: Atleast 7 years in Product development

Industry Background: IT-Software / Software Services

Relevant Certifications :PMP, Prince2, Agile

Responsibilities

- Effectively collaborates product specific meetings, QBR's, manage contract & negotiation, product vendor relationship.

- Preference for those who have worked on E-Governance and Govt Projects

- Responsible for creating and verifying Project plan, Schedule, project management documentation as per CMMI standards, tracking all BAU requests and meet the timelines.

- Agreeing project objectives aims of the project are met

- Ensure change requests are submitted in a timely manner for client approval, project issues/risks are documented and shared with the Stakeholders proactively

- Track SIT, UAT and Post production defects for each release / project and work with onsite/offshore counterpart to prepare/track plan to improve quality of deliverables.

- Publish release notes to the client/cross commit teams prior to any change being deployed in production.

- Capacity/Sizing- Maintain the capacity of the application infrastructure, provide inputs to keep it optimal. In case of new application need to evaluate the changes required for infrastructure.

- Responsible for coordinating with Client Architecture, Info security teams, cross commit teams and provide solution to Business.

- Responsible for providing Design solutions and get Client Architecture team alignment.

- Responsible for preparing/sharing weekly status reports with Clients and Management.

- Exposure to change management and release management processes to leverage sales cycle.

- Ensure customer satisfaction

Ideal candidate should be:-

- Strong knowledge about product life-cycle, evaluate product capabilities and features, Enhancement of product with latest features and manage the whole product

- Good understanding of Roadmaps, product releases, new features offered, risks, patches, fixes, testing and implementation

- Should have managed at least a team size of 10

- End to end project management including Managing Project Scope, Schedule, Cost, Quality and Resources

- Good Knowledge of licensing models, product pricing, utilization analysis, product training offerings, financial/charge back models

- Good knowledge of P&L, Budgeting

- 30-40%, Technical Skills / 40% Product Mgt skills / 20-25%, New Ideas / Solutioning / Innovation

- People Management, Customer Management, Partner Management

- Strong knowledge in Java 8, Springboot, Hibernate
