Job Description: We are looking for a passionate and persuasive manager with previous experience in this field, who will then be responsible for growing a team and underpinning great creative and technology with sound and exciting user experience. The person will be responsible for defining the specific customer experience and ensuring that User Centered Design (UCD) methodologies are adhered to throughout the design process. Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills are also necessary as an element of the role will involve evangelizing user experience across the various groups and business areas.

This person will take responsibility for all things with regard to usability throughout the full project lifecycle.

The Role :-

- Design Leadership - Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of designers, UI architects and programmers, to contribute to a wide range of projects across an extensive client list and deliver intuitive and compelling user experiences.

- Develop and nurture User Experience Design team – Showcase full-cycle leadership to the Usability team by leading, mentoring and supporting Usability team on complex user research and interaction design projects

- Develop reusable design patterns and components for varied product needs.

- Consult client projects, from a Usability perspective - from user research to interaction design – based on a thorough understanding and appreciation for the audience, its profile and application usage context.

- Working with customer for understanding and capturing the functional requirements from a usability perspective

- Helping create information design concepts by means of maps, story boards, sketches and prototyping

- Working with the team to define the architecture, user flows and experiences to solve customer requirements and enhance user experience

- Project Scoping, Planning, Budgeting, and Management

- Contribute to new business activities by assisting in writing proposals and giving pitch presentations

- Act as an industry commentator, giving presentations and writing thought-leading articles to further enhance our reputation

- Become an evangelist for user experience internally and externally.

- Proven capability to work across multiple domains

- Work closely with Pre-Sales

The Profile :-

- 10-15 years plus experience in a Usability role having had the prior responsibility of delivering pure user experience projects

- A Post Graduate degree in Comp Science/ IT/ Management /Design is a must; further education in Human-Computer Interaction/ Experimental Psychology/ Cognitive Psychology or a similar subject, is preferred. Should preferably have significant product/consulting/service experience

- Passionate about user experience evangelization and a strong track record of innovative user-centered design thinking

- Demonstrated ability to 1) work independently and drive towards deadlines, 2) produce high-quality deliverables for clients, and 3) think creatively to solve problems

- Should have the ability to articulate complex design solutions in clear presentable form

- Should have a strong interest in new technologies and current web trends

- Experience of having worked on various tools such as Visio, Flash, HTML and others in order to help with the creation of prototypes

- Also be a hands-on deliverer of information architecture, test plans and recommendations as required

- Proactive, Hands on person

- Ability to manage pressure gracefully

- Supportive, Encouraging, and Strategic

- Strong initiative and drive to succeed

- Excellent communication and presentation skills in a client facing environment
