Product Control-PnL

- To ensure that the relevant P&L and Balance sheet positions are correctly reported at month end and that the applicable reconciliations have been completed and all issues resolved.

- To globally coordinate sign off on the book level FX Hedging application in order to accurately execute entity level FX Hedges

- To assist with the on-boarding of new entities onto the FX Hedging Application

- To assist with the standardisation of global governance and control framework for the management of FX Risk

- To prepare Capital Hedging Documentation for EMEA Capital Hedging program on a monthly basis

- To ensure that the controls within the Treasury FX areas are adhered to.

- To provide training for controllers in regards to the FX Hedging Application and FX hedging policies

- To ensure that applicable accounting standards are adhered to regarding P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.

- To ensure that Global policies are adhered to at all times and are kept fully up to date with any changes in the business.

- To act as trouble shooter within the team.

Key Skills:

Accounting skills/knowledge:

- Experience of Change Management eg. Involvement in systems or process developments

- Confident in double entry accounting associated with products under their control

- Broad understanding of Treasury’s role within the firm and current FX Hedging techniques

- Good understanding of the P&L production and reporting methodology for the P&L’s.

- Ability to understand the booking structure for trades and raise relevant issues to management.

- Broad overview of Product Control’s interaction with Financial Control and Risk Management

- Awareness of all Global Policies that impact the area that they control

Systems skills:

- Good understanding required of relevant Front Office, Back Office systems and their interaction. Should know through which systems all the products that they control flow through and understand the key system controls in place.

- Strong Microsoft Excel and Word to Intermediate level

- Ability to use Front Office/Back Office systems to enable them to investigate any controls issues.

Personal Skills:

- Ability to liaise and interact effectively with other departments such as Financial Control, Operations, Regional counterparts and Front Office

- Ability to clearly communicate in both verbal and written form.

- Highly driven and motivated individual who challenges existing processes with a view to improvement.

- Ability to work to tight daily and monthly deadlines

- Good experience in basic report writing and presentation skills

- Ability to cover almost all other roles within the team structure
