Product Architect - Startup - Cloud/SaaS

The Product Architect will lead the design, development and delivery efforts in a highly collaborative, fast-paced and global environment. This is a hands-on position that requires providing work and technical leadership to professional staff as part of an agile development team.

Technical requirements

- Excellent knowledge of distributed systems, client- and server-side technologies, testdriven development, continuous deployment, agile and other SDLC, testing and implementation tools

- Proven experience designing large and complex software architectures including web-based, composite/MVC applications and integrations

- Strong experience in high volume Internet, Ecommerce and mobile (iOS & Android) environments

- Proven experience integrating Cloud/SaaS solutions with hosted and custom systems

- Experience developing and using resource/service oriented architectures

- Proven experience implementing the “Lean Startup” methodology

- Experience working with agile software development teams

- Experience architecting software solutions for North American products

Position objectives

- Facilitate the detailed design, development and implementation of business applications and integrations that conform to strategies, and meet business needs.

- Work with business units, product development and product engineering teams on complex projects to develop user stories to ensure customer satisfaction with solution.

- Coordinates with product owner, scrum master and application developers to ensure that required features and modifications are included in the appropriate releases and to incorporate architectural designs and standards.

- Work with third-party vendors to develop software and/or integrate their software into the company's products and solutions.

- Drive towards an architecture that optimizes for flexibility, re-use, scalability, performance and availability.

- Develop, document and keep up to date artifacts that describe application and service architectures.

- Evaluates new technologies, techniques and solutions to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's offerings.
