Product Architect

We are seeking individuals who are technically adept and have a passion for applying their technical expertise towards building world class solutions in the IaaS cloud space.The Product Architect will be responsible for design and development of road map features for IaaS Cloud solution . She/he is expected to have an in-depth understanding of technologies like Virtualization, Networking, and Storage. He is expected to have knowledge of Product and feature development life cycle. She/he will need to participate in discussions with Program Management, Product Management and other stakeholders to discuss project specifications and procedures.

Job responsibilities will include:

Responsibilities:

- Gather and translate business requirements to technical specification documents

- Articulate and communicate architectural design to all the stake holders.

- Develop creative and innovative solutions for SAS's IaaS Cloud solution.

- Acquire and apply knowledge of S Availability Services products, technologies and development processes.

- Collaborate with Product Managers, Program Managers, QA and Support team to build world class engineering solutions.

- Stay abreast with the latest technological advancements in the infrastructure space.

- Investigate research and identify technologies towards building enterprise class solutions for IaaS cloud.

Requirements:

- Expertise in one of the key areas of IaaS cloud like Networking, Enterprise Storage or Virtualization is a must.

- Knowledge of any of the programming languages is a must.

- Overall technology experience of 10+ years is a must.

- In-depth understanding of any of the virtualization technologies like VMWare, Xen, KVM is preferred

- Prior Knowledge of networking concepts and solutions from Cisco and Juniper is preferred.

- Prior knowledge of Enterprise Class Storage Solutions like EMC, NetAPP is preferred.

- Should have experience in designing and implementing scalable and robust world class solution.

- Ability to work independently and also provide technical guidance to developers towards implementing solutions.

- Ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and different time zones.

- Should have excellent Problem solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to think creatively to provide solutions for problems.

- Should be able to work with ambiguous problems and provide clarity and technical direction.

- Should have excellent oral and written communication skills.

- Prior experience with any of the UNIX flavours is preferred.
