Procurement Lead - Dry Commodities - AgriTech

We are currently retained by a leading Agri-tech player (well-funded and established) to hire a Procurement Lead-(Dry Commodities) for them.

As a Procurement Lead you will be driving strategy & framework across sourcing, trading & distribution of Agri-commodities and would be responsible for P&L of the state.

The role will be based in Mumbai/Pune.

Key Responsibilities -

- To handle Procurement & Distribution strategy and framework for ensuring optimal efficiency (Cost and Quality)

- Responsible for building and maintaining relationship with the supplier base for various Agri Commodities (Farmers, FPOs, Mandi traders etc)

- Build client base across commodity industry, processors, traders, exporters, E Commerce players across India.

- Conduct meeting with major suppliers / vendors on a scheduled basis for effective engagement.

- Staying connected with ground realities through structured feedback from consumers, trade, and sales teams.

- Team management and mentoring to optimise results and business growth.

- To conduct periodic performance reviews with the team and suitably guide them for achieving the desired business results.

To Fit the bill, you must have:

- 8+ years of experience.

- MBA from a good Institute.

- Experience of procurement & trading in dry commodities industry.

- Knowledge/experience of Mandi operations, procurement processes, compliances, farmer mobilisation.

- Strong exposure to FPOs

- Strong Interpersonal Skills for better working with internal stakeholders

- Strong Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
