Procurement Head (Internal) Tech Startup We have been retained by an ecommerce related startup to hire a Procurement Head. PLEASE DO NOTE THIS IS A PROCUREMENT ROLE FOR INTERNAL NEEDS AND REQUIRES SOMEONE WITH EXPERIENCE ON THE SAME. The role involves maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and experience in procuring all materials including those needed for warehouses that are essential for the internal consumption of the company. Key responsibilities include: - Establishing end-to-end procurement processes and systems. - Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms - Purchase management of products and services needed for ecommerce companies as well as Capex like IT systems, software, scanners, CCTVs etc. - Managing daily purchasing activities - Managing supplier relations and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines, etc. - Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage. - Build a sustainable procurement system by communicating with various alternate suppliers and vendors across multiple locations. - Experience in managing transportation vendors To fit the bill, you must have: - 10-15 years of experience in procurement and logistics post MBA from a good B School - Strong vendor management skills - Good negotiating skills - Good communication skills - Strong planning and organizational skills. - High management skills for day to day operations - Strong ability to research and build organizational relationships - Knowledge of vendors in multiple locations for easy procurement. - Ability to work in a growing startup
