JOB DESCRIPTION

The Procurement Head will be responsible for setting strategies and goals for identifying and screening procurement suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions favorable to the organisation, driving improved supplier service levels, minimizing risk while improving business results, standardizing and automating business processes and procurement best practice:

- Leads the procurement function and oversees all aspects of purchasing, negotiations, strategy, tool and process implementation for procurement related to goods and services

- Provides leadership and direction to the procurement organization. Manages and develops resources to deliver business partner satisfaction and achievement of overall business and financial objectives

- Negotiates favorable contractual terms and conditions with suppliers.

- Builds strong relationships with software publisher partners, fostering collaboration and teamwork

- Delivers on cost reduction commitments through the identification, development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives

- Supports business organization in strategic situations

- Develops and implements efficiencies, standardized tools, practices and procedures shortening the quotation, RFP and decision making and evaluation time

- Leads development and execution of a performance driven supplier management process resulting in structured feedback

- Develops, implements and maintains procurement policies and review on a regular basis to
ensure relevance and conformance with best practices and ensure compliance with internal and
regulatory policies

- Establishes Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) practices and reinforces through regular benchmarking, periodic RFP's, and supplier performance metrics

- 14+ years of leadership experience in procurement, setting procurement strategies, driving cost savings and improving terms and conditions

- Excellent negotiation, leadership skills including clearly demonstrated global perspective and understanding of factors impacting businesses and their suppliers

- Proven track record of successfully managing risk

- Possess solid IT skills (proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio) and experience with ERP/ eProcurement/P2P system

- Proven ability to be hands on within a heavy workload environment
