R&D Process Excellence This role is accountable for Process Excellence in R&D GBS. It partners with Global Capability Leads and service delivery teams to identify standardization, simplification, optimization, and automation opportunities for continuous productivity and value delivery. Key accountability of the role is to design and drive common KPIs and SLAs for R&D services in GBS, establishing clear performance measurement and reporting, driving continuous improvement and value led innovation as well as ensuring R&D priorities are included into global PEX agenda. The role requires a proactive leader who has the energy and skills to solve organization process challenges as well as develop solution while managing multiple global, sector and market stakeholders. This person will partner with Global capability Leads, delivery team, PEX COE/ HUB leads, Global R&D Design leads in setting up capability/service management and governance strategy as well as driving process improvements. Design and implement R&D functional KPIs and SLAs for R&D services. This includes implementation of existing CME capabilities for R&D GBS as well as establishing SLAs and KPIs for new R&D specific capabilities (Specification Management, Market Analysis & Knowledge Management, Technical Project management, Digital Solutions). Reinforce use a standard language and framework, including Value Realization Framework. Continuous improvement - identify and propose improvement opportunities, align functional / capability owners to drive improvements, resolve process issues. Value led innovation - identify and execute automation opportunities to define requirements and build solutions, digitisation of the process, value delivery pipeline, prioritization, and completion. Capture savings. Inform global PEX agenda based on functional R&D capability requirements. Key Skills/Experience Required : - Identify any differentiating expertise required for success in the role. - Extensive experience in R&D processes (Specification management, technical project management) within FMCG environment (5-7 years) - Experience in continuous improvement tools and methods (Green belt / Black belt preferred) - Strong project/program management - Process improvement experience/mindset - Initiative and proven ability to drive change - Ability to influence, persuasive and strong in change management - Strong communication skills Differentiating Competencies Required : - Identify any differentiating behaviors, leadership skills or soft skills required for success in the role. - Experience in Shared Services organizations and developing/improving processes - Proficiency in data collection and analysis, value stream mapping, process capability, analysis, financial impact, and root-cause identification
