Private Equity Analyst

The successful candidate in this role will be responsible for:

1) Providing initial investment review and screening of prospective investment opportunities for the firm as well as tracking of the firm's investment pipeline.

2) Extensive financial modelling including sensitivity analysis to support potential investment opportunities.

3) Providing financial evaluation of project investment opportunities including review of project documents such as power purchase agreements, steam agreements, fuel contracts, and financing agreements.

4) Providing on-going monitoring of assets with the firm's portfolios including review of monthly operating results and maintaining project pro forma.

5) Establishing and maintain relationship with industry, trade and professional organizations to enhance visibility of the firm and its portfolio companies in the market place.

6) Deciding the use of investments, managing investments and portfolio companies, forecasting future returns.

7) Providing accurate valuation of the company's shares where it wants to invest.

8) Undertaking due diligence analysis, prepare financial models, use accounting techniques to appraise the business and conduct valuation of the companies to determine the potential of investing in it.

9) Working around various sets of assumptions to prepare financial scenarios to determine the optimal mix of debt and equity to maximize the return on investment.

The candidate should have the following professional qualifications:

- 1 to 2 years of experience in investment banking or at a private equity firm.

The candidate should possess the following skills:
