Job Purpose : - The charter of the Brand Enablement &amp; Success function is to create an ecommerce strategy for Brands and enable them with related services to become successful online. As a Regional Manager - Acquisition in this function, you will lead the Vendor Acquisition team responsible for identifying Brands owners and Small &amp; medium enterprises/manufacturers and acquiring them as Vendors to our Retail partners. - Collaborating with the Retail partner to identify new opportunities across product categories, managing the end-to-end acquisition strategy and driving the team would be the core of your deliverables. You will have to balance your time between strategizing your Go To Market approach, managing your team and partnering with your stakeholders. You will also work closely with stakeholders to streamline the onboarding process, set up the right levers for Vendor success and set up necessary mechanisms to scale up the function. - The successful candidate will be highly analytical and detail-oriented, possess superior communication skills and be comfortable in working autonomously taking full control and responsibility for hitting business objectives. Able to create and communicate a bold vision for the organization. - Demonstrate a superior track record for execution, creative problem solving, strategic thinking, and successful in all phases of Sales/Acquisition including prospecting, acquisition, integration, scaling and retention of Vendors. This role provides opportunities to develop original ideas, approaches, and solutions in a competitive and ever-changing business climate. Roles and Responsibilities : - Manage a sales team with 6-10 members across multiple cities to acquire new Vendors for our Retail Partner and aid their Selection strategy across product categories. - Understand the Retail process, success levers and develop sales strategies to articulate its benefits to prospective Manufacturers/Brand Owners. - Hire, train and manage a sales team across multiple locations - Develop and implement standard operating processes to scale the working of the function. - Help define the Vendor base and industry verticals we target for various services using local knowledge, secondary research and past data - Identify valuable vendors and selection for the Retail Partner and Prione services - Lead the team to ensure the right quality of onboarding to ensure early success and long term retention of the vendor partners - Interface with internal teams to identify seller integration needs and deploy resources to lift the Vendor capabilities to work on an online platform - Drive adoption of new services, promotions or processes across city teams - Analyze data and improve or develop processes to help Vendors become successful. - Review the processes through customer feedback mechanism and provide feedback and suggestions to modify them to enhance customer experience Job Specifications : Education : Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred Experience : Relevant : - More than 5 years of experience in sales and leadership roles of large teams. - Bachelor's degree required, MBA is preferred - Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with external customer interaction. - Proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to manage the business by the numbers. Must be metrics-driven. - Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to express thoughts logically and succinctly. - Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment. - Fluency in English is important along with awareness of local retail landscape Preferred : - Experience working with SME ecosystem. - Experience with e-commerce, FMCG, retail, consumer durables, advertising. - Deep understanding of the retail and wholesale landscape in India with prior interactions with sellers and distributors. - Experience selling nascent (embryonic/start-up) products/services into new markets. - Experience in defining new processes.
