Principle Software engineer

Your responsibilities :

- As a principal engineer, you are key in developing our core state-of-the-art tech stack by mentoring our team of software engineers, data engineers and data scientists responsible for building and maintaining our products at the company.

- You deeply understand core software engineering best practices, have a good understanding of core architecture concepts and work closely with our engineers and managers to inspire and ensure great scalable solutions

- You will foster an agile and lean work environment by supporting incremental value delivery and self-organizing teams

- You will participate in hiring to ensure that we attract excellent talent

- You assist in building up our Indian office and motivate and mentor our engineers by setting ambitious but achievable goals.

- You will lead and participate in various tech projects by working hands-on with backend development and data engineering

Your profile :

- You have prior experience working in similar roles, such as engineering lead, principal engineer or architect would be advantageous and have 10+ years of experience working as a backend or data engineer

- You are an engineer at heart and have proficiency in modern programming languages, preferably Scala, Java and Golang

- You have practical experience in Docker, Kubernetes and Google Cloud

- You enjoy writing clean and testable code as well as conducting code reviews

- You can quickly understand business needs and transform them into technical and data requirements in collaboration with our product team

- You excel in motivating your team with strong to-the-point communication and a distinct can-do attitude

- You can work within a rapidly changing environment and drive a culture of growth and ambition

- You have excellent English skills in both verbal and written form
