Principal - Venture Debt/Structured Credit

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Venture Debt / Structured Credit professional to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, and structuring debt financing transactions. You will leverage your deep financial expertise, venture ecosystem knowledge and equity investor connections to identify attractive investment opportunities and lead deal lifecycle from origination to closing.

Responsibilities:

- Source and identify high-potential tech companies through a proactive approach using private connects, industry networks and equity investor relationships

- Conduct thorough financial analysis and due diligence to assess creditworthiness, risk profile, and growth potential of target companies.

- Develop compelling investment theses and structure debt financing solutions tailored to specific company's needs.

- Negotiate and finalize debt financing terms, including pricing, security, covenants, and repayment structures ,

- Work collaboratively with the investment committee to secure deal approvals.

- Lead legal documentation working alongside counsels to put up binding documentation

- Manage and monitor existing portfolio companies, ensuring compliance to terms, and stay abreast of corporate developments.

- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in the ecosystem and the broader tech landscape.

- Mentor junior members of the team

- Work on credit and investment policies and assist the Partners in setting up investment thesis for the overall platform.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of experience in venture debt, structured finance, or investment banking in elated field.

- Proven track record of originating, evaluating, and structuring successful debt transactions.

- Strong understanding of credit analysis, financial modelling, and risk management principles.

- In-depth knowledge of financing structures, including debt instruments and equity considerations.

- Strong connects in the tech and PE/VC ecosystem

- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

- Demonstrated passion for the tech ecosystem and a strong interest in supporting innovative companies.
