Principal for a leading Residential Education Institute located in Uttrakhand

Responsibilities:

The Principal has the authority to undertake necessary steps to fulfill her responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following:

- Executing academic responsibilities and keep informed about the developments.

- Supervise teachers’ work so that it results in excellence in academics, extra-curricular activities and holistic development of students..

- Look after the welfare of the students, staff and school as a whole.

- Be a resource person and a role model for the team.

- Ensure that communication within the school and with external agencies is effective and the speed of response meets their expectations.

- Supervise all day-to-day academic activities of the school.

- Maintain discipline of teaching staff and students.

- Prepare the time table and ensure that there are no overlaps or classes without teachers and the students do not have to hunt for class rooms.

- Arrange substitution of teachers and ensure that the teachers report for substitution duties at the start of the period.

- Arrange extra-curricular activities.

Must Haves:

- Masters Degree or Honours Degree

- A teaching Degree or a Diploma in Education or its equivalent

- Experience as required under anyone of the following clauses:

a) At least 3 years experience of administrative charge of a recognized College having intermediate or higher classes.

b) At least 5 years experience of administrative charge of a recognized High School.

c) Experience into residential school.
