Position Purpose: Independent (Central) responsibility for sales & distribution driven market research and product intelligence. Provide insights and analysis around our distributors / investors and market trend by assessing distributor preferences, evaluating competition and analyzing transactional data. This position is responsible for following research best practices, turning business questions into research plans and analyzing results and identifying insights for decision making. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct qualitative studies on target segmentation, demand analysis and preferences through tapping data/information sources, Voice of Customers and local team input. Identify trends and make recommendations for business improvements. Present insights and analysis results to the management and cross functional team. - Track competition and identify areas to win through product and revenue emphasis. Leverage existing market research information and distributor / investor data to understand trends. Work closely with Product and Marketing to create winning strategies and visibility platforms. - Act as an In-house product specialist with focus / insights on product features. Stay connected to current on emerging trends, customer preferences and provide guidance to team members. - Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, with focus on technological interventions and sales process automation. - Support Head - Business Development in design, deployment and evaluation of distribution initiatives. Role Requirements: - Candidate must have knowledge and experience in primary and secondary financial research, consulting, knowledge of mutual fund products and strong business acumen. - 3-4 years in product, research and analytical roles with interest in working across transaction surveys, product insights, market share analysis, reward programmes etc. - A CA/CFA/MBA with experience either in Mutual Funds, brokerages, securities or financial market research firms. Experience in using statistical tools. - Exemplary communication skills to connect with people from diverse background and experience.
