Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Consumer Electronics

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Deliver: Principal Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for performing design and analysis to support research and development of UAVs. The candidate will be leading concept phase, design activities, reviews and reports designs progress. A consistent design language/theme will be created for all aspects of a product;

- Strong manufacturing management discipline: To build and mature a sustainable top-class manufacturing operation that can consistently deliver top-class manufactured products to meet the best quality and reliability standards while optimizing productivity;

- Mature manufacturing practices: To drive the strategic direction of the company's manufacturing considering customer feedback and emerging technologies; steer the outsourced manufacturing operations for continuously improving scalability, reliability, quality and cost; establish best manufacturing practices to leverage the most of known manufacturing techniques and processes;

- Learning and Growth: Expect to evolve as the senior-most functional leader of manufacturing function in the company in a very short period, based on demonstrated performance.

Preferred Experience:

- High-density electronics;

- High-reliability compact mechanical systems;

- Rugged and long operation life outdoor all weather performance electromechanical hardware;

- Computer Vision;

- Good programming skills using C, C++, OpenCV (or other image processing libraries);

- Experience with Windows and Linux development;

- Knowledge of C# (preferred);

- Knowledge of optimization techniques for developing algorithms using parallel processing using OpenMP/OpenCL/CUDA/Compute Shaders, etc. (preferred).
