Job Title: IT Principal - Cloud Operations

Overview

Seeking an experienced IT principal level resource to fill a visible and strategic role within the IT Core Technology Services (CTS) organization. This individual will focus on delivering exceptional IT capabilities to support the current and future needs of the organization. You will be responsible for defining processes and procedures for our cloud platforms in AWS and Azure. You will have the opportunity to influence and provide technical guidance for a large cloud operations team that deliver solutions to support the cloud transformation strategy for the organization.

Responsibilities

- Define and implement standard operating procedures to ensure a consistent operating model across all cloud platforms.

- Focus on maturing operational procedures on our Azure cloud platform collaborating with various IT teams globally to ensure consistency around our global deployments in Azure

- Focus on an automated service delivery strategy to enable the CTS organization to manage cloud platforms at scale

- Partner with cloud automation resources to implement automation solutions to offer Infrastructure as a Service capabilities to our customers.

- Serve as a technical advisor in a balanced team developing innovative new solutions to support the CTS automation and cloud initiatives

- Partner with team to achieve early and continuous delivery of valuable, high quality working solutions

- Articulate technology product vision and strategy to the team and to engineering stakeholders

- Establish product and technical roadmaps in collaboration with cloud architects, engineers and product owners

- Help maintain team culture and communication

- Lead execution of critical programs to reduce cost and enable emerging technologies

- Works collaboratively, effectively, and efficiently with stakeholders to ensure alignment and prioritization of goals and resources across multiple stakeholders, project priorities, and organizational initiatives

- Responsible for providing regular updates to IT leadership regarding the strategic vision and execution status of key programs

- Advocate and promote agile methodologies to rapidly deliver results

- Works under minimal supervision. Independently determine and develop approaches to deliver results

- Ensure deliverables meet or exceed service-level expectations for quality, timeliness, performance and budget

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, related technical degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience

- A minimum of 7 to15 years of experience in IT and partnering with Stakeholders

- Proficient administration and architecture understanding of AWS & Azure cloud platforms.

- Administration and\or Architecture Professional certification from AWS & Azure

- Experience with automation technologies like Terraforms, Puppet, Python, VMWare Cloud Assembly (VRA), Git Lab

- Ability to work on a Global team in person and in a collaborative virtual setting; self-motivated, self-directed, adaptable
