Job Description - The Principal in the Investment Team at the social impact-focused private equity firm will play a pivotal role in sourcing, evaluating, executing, and managing investments that generate both financial returns and measurable social impact. They will lead deal negotiations, conduct due diligence, and collaborate closely with portfolio companies to drive sustainable growth and positive change

Description:

- Deal Sourcing and Evaluation: Proactively identify and evaluate investment opportunities aligned with the firm's social impact goals, conducting thorough market research and financial analysis.

- Investment Execution: Lead all aspects of the investment process, from deal origination and due diligence to structuring and negotiation of terms, ensuring alignment with the firm's investment thesis and impact objectives.


- Portfolio Management: Provide strategic guidance and operational support to portfolio companies, collaborating with management teams to implement value-creation initiatives and monitor performance against impact metrics.


- Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain relationships with entrepreneurs, co-investors, advisors, and other stakeholders, representing the firm professionally and ethically at all times.


- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the investment team.


- Impact Measurement: Develop and implement robust frameworks for measuring and reporting the social and environmental impact of investments, driving transparency and accountability.


Profile:


- Experience: 6-10 years of experience in private equity, impact investing, or investment banking, with a proven track record of sourcing, executing, and managing investments.

- Expertise: Deep understanding of financial analysis, valuation techniques, and deal structuring, coupled with a passion for driving positive social and environmental change through investment.


- Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify investment opportunities that deliver both financial returns and measurable impact.


- Relationship Builder: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders and navigate complex negotiations effectively.


- Leadership Qualities: Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams towards common goals, while also working collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
