Principal Data Scientist - BFS

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Data Scientist (10+ years- experience) who will help us discover information hidden in vast amounts of data and help us make smarter decisions. Your primary focus will be in doing statistical analysis, ML and building high quality prediction systems that will integrate with our products. An important focus area will be the development of next generation credit decisioning and risk models that will enable the company to effectively provide credit to a large under-served population in India. Other areas include leveraging data to improve the marketing funnel, various classification problems, fraud detection etc.

This is an early team and there is a tremendous opportunity for anyone joining us this early!

Responsibilities

- Building a rock-solid data science team

- Work closely with the Product & Tech teams

- Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques

- Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

- Doing ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

- Extending company's data with third party sources of information when needed

- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

- Back-testing of new models and working with engineering teams to get systems to production.
