Job Title: Associate/ Principal Associate - Intellectual Property Rights

Experience: Total experience of 5-15 Years in IPR with a law firm.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a candidate who is responsible for managing, protecting, and enforcing the intellectual property assets of the organization. This includes patents, trademarks, copyrights, and trade secrets. The specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams, legal experts, and external partners to ensure compliance with intellectual property laws and regulations.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Handling of Intellectual Property (specifically trademarks, copyrights and industrial designs) prosecution, opposition and enforcements.

- Management of the entire IP portfolio of clients.

- Creation of legal opinions for the clients after conducting thorough search in the relevant database(s) relating to their various IP related queries.

- Drafting, reviewing and negotiation of IP specific agreements.

- Advising clients regarding how IP can help them grow their business exponentially by conducting in-depth research relating to their business model and the business models of competitors in the industry.

- Assisting in litigation relating to IP matters.

- Conduct research on competitors' intellectual property activities.

- Analyse the competitive landscape to identify potential risks and opportunities.

- Stay abreast of changes in intellectual property laws and regulations.

- Ensure the organization's intellectual property practices comply with relevant laws and industry standards.





Qualification and Skills:

- Bachelors/PG in law, Intellectual Property Law, or a related field.

- Proficient research skills

- Legal acumen

- Proficient drafting skills are must (with special attention to detail)

- Knack of keeping updated with latest case laws, amendments, government policies, etc.

- Out of the box thinking approach to devise IP strategies

- Excellent command over language

- Excellent inter-personal skills

- Zeal to learn and grow

- Problem-solving and decision-making

- Collaboration and teamwork
