Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive market research studies with a focus on the Japan market, utilizing a variety of methodologies (surveys, interviews, focus groups, etc.).
- Develop research plans, questionnaires, and interview guides that effectively capture relevant data to address business questions.
- Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using statistical software (SPSS, R, etc.) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions, identifying key trends and market opportunities.
- Prepare clear, concise, and visually appealing reports that effectively communicate research findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends and research methodologies relevant to the Japan market.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure research aligns with business needs.
- Operate effectively in an international matrix environment, working with colleagues across various time zones.
- Utilize programming skills (Python, Java) to extract and analyze data from various sources (Optional)
You will be successful in this role if you have:
- 3-8 years of experience in market research with a strong track record of conducting successful market research studies.
- Demonstrated experience working in the Japan market or a similar international environment (a plus).
- Strong quantitative, research, and data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in statistical software packages (SPSS, R, etc.) and databases.
- Experience in running code or queries using programming languages (Python, Java) (Optional)
- Experience with advanced statistical approaches (conjoint, MaxDiff, regression analysis, etc.) (Optional)
- Advanced skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) (Optional)
