Pricing & Commercial Analyst
- Lead the new product introduction process with pricing analysis and proposals to ensure pricing excellence and value pricing on product launches.
- Develop reports that monitor and evaluate internal and competitive pricing and margin performance at different levels like market, customer and product levels and hence aids in weekly/monthly forecasting
- Assists with proactively identifying new market opportunities and risks arising from competitive, regulatory and other internal and external factors
- Responsible for ensuring all pricing/product revisions are also updated well in time across all the collaterals and digital platforms as part of GTM
- Manage systems, tools, existing & new models and processes to develop and deliver pricing analysis in support of business pricing strategies
- Ownership, creation and improvement of pricing processes and tools, maintenance & development of those that empower marketing team to assess current product positioning and optimize growth/margins
- Make sound pricing recommendations and ensures a strong relationship and communication with technology and sales team to align the GTM process for new and existing price changes and product introductions.
- Works closely with pricing partners to ensure correct flow of change in pricing information's and maintains long lasting relationship
- Develops data sources, models and methods to identify pricing improvements, opportunities or inconsistencies/leakages.
- Analyses the impact of pricing changes on financial and sales performance
- Serves as the internal customers first point of contact for questions regarding pricing and the data used to generate proposed pricing, discounts and terms and conditions.
- Keeps self-appraised about the regulatory changes impacting product and customer pricing
- Works closely with revenue assurance team for arresting any leakages/fraud highlighted due to incorrect pricing and ensures maintenance of SOP for annual audit
Skills & Experience:
- Applicable experience in pricing, business/competitive analysis of minimum 3 years
- Proven analytical skills
- Able to work on time-sensitive price changes with high precision ensuring deadlines are met
- Attention to detail and ability to remain motivated whilst doing repetitive tasks
- Basic skills for extracting data for all analysis using SQL
- Proficient in MS excel and MS Access
- Knowledge of visualization tools like Power BI, Tableau
- Seamless execution of GTM
- Timely introduction of product and pricing revision
- Constant monitoring of market and competition changes ensure quick reaction to market
- Ensuring compliance by following right processes for product and pricing revision/introduction
- Upkeep of correct flow of information across all stakeholders and all collaterals and digital platforms
