President/Chief Executive Officer - Commercial Bank

Position based with a Mid size Commercial Bank in Myanmar. Bank is currently undertaking a massive modernisation project. The Bank has recently completed 100% migration of all the branches to the latest international banking system (Oracle's Flexcube system).

Job Role

The President/Chief Operating Officer is responsible for the overall direction and administration of programs, products, and services provided by the Bank, including the Bank's financial performance, credit quality, business development, operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management.

The position ensures that all aspects of the Bank's activities operate in a safe and sound manner; defines and executes current and long range strategic plans, budgets, goals, and objectives that result in positive growth in equity, profits, loans and deposits, return on assets, return on investments, quality and scope of financial services, culture and human resources, and service to the community in the best interest of shareholders, the Board of Directors, customers, employees, and the public.

Provides the highest level of customer relations and service; and ensures compliance with Bank policies, procedures and processes. Performs supervisory duties of department staff, coordinates staff for coverage in all related areas of the department.

Proven track record in turning around businesses, building strong franchises and leading strategic projects.

Strong capability to drive quantum growth in P&L

Deep understanding of financial markets with the ability to manage risk arising from them effectively.
