DVP Corporate Strategy
Role Details :
- The duties are inclusive of competitor benchmarking, marketing program effectives, industry intelligence, consumer knowledge, and development of strategic initiatives.
- The individual would support the department head in launching high priority strategic initiatives, working with the business's leadership, executives, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Crafting strategic initiatives through the development of work plans, gathering and generation of relevant data, driving analyses, and the development of actionable recommendations.
- Own new initiatives, incubate new capabilities, find product market fit and scale opportunities.
- Provide short and long-term strategic recommendations to the business's executives that are meant to develop and capitalize business opportunities and respond to new threats.
- Analyze strategic rationale by performing regular financial, competitive, performance, and market analyses for the business in order to comprehensively value business opportunities
- Ensure development of well-founded strategies are presented to the relevant leadership to guide annual business plans.
- Prepare regular management updates to the shareholders and external stakeholders including but not limited to the Board updates.
- Create and track the company performance scorecard.
- Drive awareness and insightful analyses of the market and transaction trends as well as identify and explore any adjacencies to the business in order to ascertain risks and opportunities.
- Draft regular industry and business analysis reports for senior management, business leadership and executives, and relevant stakeholders for purposes of further decision making.
- Overseeing the activities of team members in the effective management of projects across the business.
Job Specifications :
- 10-12 years of PQE in Consulting/Strategy/Channel Program Management/Channel Initiatives/etc. ideally in a life insurance company
- Highly numerate and Business savvy
- Has a strong understanding of distribution channels (at least one of Agency/Banca/CABr), key business drivers & growth initiatives
- Reasonable grasp of channel P&L
- Strong industry network
- Ability to structure projects and be responsible for on time delivery
- Ability to prepare well-structured storylines
- Keen eye for trends impacting business
- Growth mindset with willingness to continuously learn more
