Practice Lead - Microsoft Azure - AWS/Cloud - Infrastructure Management

Role : Infrastructure Management Services - Center of Competence

Lead (Microsoft Azure)

Role Description As part of the Infrastructure Management Service business, clients sometimes require solutions that are cloud based. These solutions may be IAAS, PAAS or SAAS. The role holder will work with

Microsoft and other vendors to:

- Build and evolve Technologies- IMS service offerings

- Jointly uncover and participate in opportunities where these solutions fit

- Built and evolve complimentary service offerings with ecosystem partners

CLIENT Pre-sales teams to:

- Built detailed solutions in response to RFPs or proactively.

- Defend solutions in front of clients

- Act as advisor to clients who are working on their own cloud strategy

Independently to:

- Prepare a repository of common solutions

- Prepare and delivery demonstrations of CLIENT Cloud solutions

- Publish white-papers and give talks in industry forums

Client Delivery teams to:

- Train delivery teams on Azure technologies

- Prepare high level and low level documentation of Azure based solutions

- Help delivery teams implement projects that use Azure

Technical expertise areas Microsoft Azure

Setting up a fully functional Microsoft based network with common services like AD, DHCP, DNS, IPAM, Filers, Hyper-V.

Common Datacenter technologies like:

- Virtualization

- Storage systems

- Networking (firewalls, LAN, Load balancers)

Key Responsibilities:

- To act as an expert, evangelist and architect building, proposing and demonstrating Azure based designs to customers.

- To build, guide and assist implementation teams in implementing Azure based solutions

Prior Experience A total of 15 years of experience of which :

- 10 years or more in IT Infrastructure delivery and support roles

- 3 years in IT pre-sales

- 1 year in building Azure IAAS solutions

- At least one successful implementation cycle experience on Azure

- Education Graduate with a BE/B. Tech degree preferred

- Architect level Certification from Microsoft Azure (70-534 Beta) is preferred

- Attributes Excellent communications - both written and spoken

- Excellent knowledge of common non-cloud technical designs and their cloud based counterparts

- Knowledgeable on common Datacenter Technologies

Attitude:

Reporting structure This roles reports in to the head of the Infrastructure Management Services COC. As a peer, this role holder will work with:

- Other leads who will have other technical specializations

- Sales and Pre-sales teams

- Delivery teams

This role will initially be an individual contributor who may have a team structure should the quantum of work require this
