Role - Practice Head - Networks Network Domain within the Communication BU comprises expertise to support account teams in engaging with service provider CTO/CxO organizations, developing sales propositions, building and deploying solutions involving network consultancy, design & engineering and managed network operations. The domain team has the capability to provide many such services directly, and also has partnership / alliances with new age &amp; traditional product vendors / Managed Service Providers (MSPs) to build comprehensive and compelling propositions. Core responsibilities - - Play an advisory role to customers and prospects and provide thought leadership &amp; Business / Network transformation recommendations in various technology areas. - Keep abreast of market &amp; technology trends to build the telecom practice strategy &amp; establish objectives thereof including critical themes with market relevance. - Support Account/Sales teams to manage the pre-sales process with clients and provide the leadership throughout the sales-cycle from initial qualification to closure of the deal - Interlock with India/Global based practice teams on RFPs/Events/Go-to-Market (GTM) on solutions - Provide technical &amp; architecture guidance, for various technology domains &amp; practice teams for capability &amp; competency building. - Develop &amp; foster partnerships for building solutions and GTM plans - Should be able to map solutions / offerings to client/markets demands, develop value proposition &amp; business case. - Managing work in such a way that the results are both of distinctive quality and useful to the client in terms of improving competitive position Qualifications &amp; Experience - BE in Electronics and telecommunications. Additional qualification in business management is desirable. - 20+ years of experience in Telecom domain, preferably in service provider industry. - Experience in technology life cycle management across Strategy, Planning, Engineering Implementation, Operations and Maintenance of Telecom networks spanning voice, data &amp; video services across wireless &amp; wire line domains. - Conversant with Day 0 / Day 1 / Day 2 activities in a telecom SP environment. - Good understanding of various budget pools for the network domain of the customer organization - Clear understanding of the various services for B2C &amp; B2B segments from an End-to-end perspective across legacy &amp; new age technologies Telco Cloud, SDN/NFV, LTE, 5G, Edge Computing, Network Automation, Orchestration, Security, Analytics - Exposure to IT platforms and systems related to network/service management is preferred. Other Skills - Senior level presence, with the capability to build credibility and gain trust &amp; respect. - Ability to thoughtfully challenge decisions or recommendation as appropriate. - Self-driven, high-performing, result-oriented &amp; entrepreneurial head with excellent networking skills. - A leader with ability to motivate and energize the team. - An inherent passion for technology and the ability to evangelise the same across the company. - Strong communication skills, externally as well as internally and ability to build and maintain relations across the global operations. - Ability to develop and build a public profile with the media and press in addition to speaking at external seminars. - Ability to operate and influence at board level both internally and within an external client base. Travel This job demands frequent Global travel KEY RESULT AREAS Business Impact: - Demand generation for building a healthy pipeline in the network domain - And Increase in revenue generated from Network SI, consulting &amp;MS engagements. Revenue by way of increasing billable headcount is also important. - Drive increase in revenue by scaling network solutions / offerings. Network influenced ACV at a practice level / vertical level - Lead with domain differentiators, solutions, driving transformation and strategic engagements. Domain &amp; Solutions Capability - Define market relevant domain offerings and value proposition - Support dissemination of offering information within accounts of engagement. - Support in opportunity identification in the market, existing engagements. - Build relationships and door openers within the client organization or leads that can be handled over to the account manager or nurtured. - Interlock with Sales / Client partners and provide support in sales enablement and presales activities. - Actively partner with solution providers / alliance partners.
