1) Job Purpose :

Head and Lead Business Intelligence practice with profitable business growth through effective leveraging of resources, exhibiting BI technology thought leadership and driving growth and profitability
Accountable for managing the three main pillars of a practice: people management, service offerings management and sales enablement.
Has profit and loss responsibility or financial/expense management of practice
Guidance and inputs for presales content and active contribution in presales documents
Crafting winning strategies using value differentiators, pricing models and key solutions
Working with onsite team and sales for demand and lead generation and plan well for alliance and partnership of Informatica, Qlik and other Big Data technologies
Developing distinct point of view and differentiated tools/accelerators and solutions
Creating plans for accelerated improvement of revenue for the practice using solutions
Monitoring and executing plans in co-ordination with Sales, Delivery, recruitment and other units
Guidance for creation of reusable solutions and frameworks to address current and future needs
Liaison and providing inputs to Sales, Marketing and Verticals for GTM strategy
Participating in proposal defense and account reviews
Increasing visibility of Practice in external events, forums, analyst firms
Plans for operational excellence conforming to KPI"s
Competency planning and building for opportunities and emerging trends like Cloud, Mobility, Social
Create and monitor plans for required staffing from perspective of pyramid and skills
Career planning and development for team - driving appraisal process and participating in promotion panels
Employee engagement, identification and grooming of high performers and future leaders
2) Person Specification:.
Describe the knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications required to perform the job to a satisfactory level.
Overall IT experience of minimum 18 years with at least 15 years in BI/DWH industry in various roles like business analyst, technical architect, BI strategist and BI practice head - should have prior experience of managing a large BI practice of over 500 associates for at least 5 years. The key job responsibilities include:
Define and build BI vision, services, solutions and competencies in line with current and future market needs
Help formulate and aligns BI strategy with enterprise focus and firm's business strategy
Help drive business by coordinating with vertical business units (VBU) and global sales teams to build specific GTM
Forge partnerships with product and services companies for a robust and fast track GTM
Help grow BI competencies based on industry best practices and emerging technologies
Ability to attract, hire, retain and motivate top BI talent
Actively support sales opportunities by leveraging solutions, services and partnerships and translate them into strong value proposition for clients
Support delivery teams on various projects to have the required multi-discipline BI team including internal and 3rd party resources to ensure Customer Service Delivery Excellence

BI Strategy & Roadmap definition
Business case formulation for BI/DWH initiatives
KPI identification and definitions across industry and business functions
In-depth exposure to Big Data & Analytics platforms - includes building services, solutions and competencies
BI/DWH/EDW architecture
