Portfolio Lead - NGO

Responsibilities :

- Develop a compelling strategy to impact water conservation and water use efficiency in agriculture for India.

- Execute strategy through a robust portfolio of project grants that deliver on key KPIs as defined in HUF's program SOP.

- Identify credible and capable local partners for implementation of water strategy developed.

- Deploy an efficient process of applications, reviews and selection of partners (through thematic RFPs and innovative processes).

- Track all program grants on achievement of key milestones and KPIs; take joint corrective action where necessary.

- Analyse program data and pool insights to inform future program design.

- Build a strong network of partners across agri universities, NGOs, think tanks, experts to inform program design and amplify HUF's program success.

- Build and manage relationships with key donors; create co-funded programs jointly with key donors for large scale impact.

- Pilot an innovative outcome-based funding method to demonstrate impact of innovative funding vis-- -vis conventional grants.

- Anchor third party assurance process for HUF.

- Take on one passion project each year to pursue a thematic area of professional interest.

- Water potential (Billion litres) created

- Additional agricultural employment (mandays)

Must Haves :

Please note that WASH as a sector often gets us professionals in drinking water and sanitation - these are not areas of experience relevant for HUF's current position. There are two primary profiles that would fit our requirement:

1. A professional with extensive experience in conceptualizing and / or executing large scale projects on water conservation and agriculture value chains OR

2. A professional who's managed portfolios of investments or grants in business, impact investing or foundations in similar sectors

- Master Degree in Master's degree or a Professional degree in disciplines relevant to this role.

- Minimum 10 years of extensive experience in managing and implementing operations both in rural areas, out of which at least 5 years should be in a leadership role.

- Demonstrable experience in strategy design, project management, project delivery, data analytics and multiple work plans.
