Portfolio Head - Venture Capital/PE Investment

Working closely with the Leadership in UK and USA, key priorities for the Portfolio Head role include :

- Developing, managing, and monitoring grantmaking portfolios including setting out a theory of change, clear goals, and applicable metrics

- Supporting the evaluation of new and existing investment opportunities (mostly grants) including

administration of the grant management process including drafting grant agreements

- Identifying appropriate partners to advance grantmaking strategies including active participation in conferences and workshops and engaging with the community of aligned donors and grantees

- Serve as an effective member of the Climate Change team, participating in strategic planning and team development

1. Understanding of the drivers and a strong commitment to act on global climate change

2. Demonstrated record of developing and executing strategy, including the effective allocation of resources to achieve ambitious goals

3. Deep and broad experience developing, implementing and using tools, processes and systems to manage and assess impact

4. Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain close, collegial, effective working relationships with colleagues and partners of diverse backgrounds and perspectives

5. Exceptional judgment and ability to handle confidential information with complete discretion

6. Clear concise written and verbal communication style

7. Experience multitasking and managing priorities with competing deadlines

8. Self-directing with initiative and able to work within a small team

9. Comfort with quantitative information and data, including budgets and financial information

10. Excellent English language writing, editing, and proofreading skills

11. Ability to work and collaborate in a cloud office environment using Apple products and online tools such as Zoom and Google Drive

12. Willing to work flexible hours and travel internationally when required
